Q: You are a matchmaker — your goal, hook up two characters from two of your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?
Sherlock Holmes x Luna Lovegood = OTP <3
Both of them are very open minded and quirky. They are both extremely curious about peculiar things and anything that comes out of their mouth just makes you go "huh?!"
However, Sherlock is more of a adrenaline and nicotine-fueled guy that rushes out whenever he figures out a clue, and Luna is a slow and steady girl.
I have absolutely no idea how it would turn out. That's the beauty of it, I guess.
I don't know, really. Sherly's too old for Luna, but I kinda think that Luna needs an adult in her life who can take care of her and stuff. Sherly's not much of an 'adult' per se, but his maturity level is slightly higher than Luna's childish dad.
And, just think of how cute Sherlock and Watson would be if they wore Hogwarts robes!

This is a strange one. I feel like in my head Sherlock Holmes is a pretty old guy so this feels weird. But if it's Benedict Cumberbatch then it's sortof OK. If he's younger. Lol.

This made me laugh! Definitely a different one, but it would be interesting to see how it would work out! As you've said, their quirkiness levels might just about match up! Plus, they're both ridiculously intelligent!

When it comes to pairings, if i set my mind on one, it will pretty much stay that way.. the only person I'll ever see Sherlock with is Watson ^^'

I know this is very late, but I just stumbled across it, so...
ReplyDeleteSince this would be the Sherlock set in modern times, if you go by the official HP timeline, he's only four or five years older than her, so that works. :)
And yeah, they fit nicely, both outside the box thinkers, both brilliant, both quirky, both easily bored (In OotP, when the group was captured by Umbridge's squad, Harry and the rest were frustrated, angry, struggling, while Luna was BORED and looking out the window, thinking ahead about how they were going to get to the Ministry once they took care of THIS little inconvenience).
Scenario: Scotland Yard and the Aurors are having to work on a case, together, and it proves beyond them both. So, Lestrade and Harry each call in their best consulting detectives...
